Just a Fabric Enthusiast travelling the world

5 Jahre Peru

Banner

After returning to Europe, I knew I wanted to make fashion. But not just any fashion—clothing that feels right . Clothing that is worn, not just sold. And that is created with the same care I had experienced in Peru.

I followed my concept of only producing clothing where craftsmanship is passed down from generation to generation. For shirts, trousers and suits, there is therefore only one address for me. My path led me to Italy – more precisely to Lake Como , where I found small weaving mills that immediately fascinated me. No mass production, no synthetic materials. Instead: the finest Super 100/130 or Super 200 virgin wool , rolls of fabric with soul, textiles with character. Here, fabrics are created that you not only see, but also feel – with a feel , a depth and a calmness that I have rarely experienced.

Doch das Herz meines Schaffens schlägt weiter südlich – in Neapel Banner

But the heart of my work beats further south – in Naples . In this city, where tailoring is part of everyday life, I found what I was looking for: small ateliers where shirts and trousers aren't produced, but created . Where no seam is left to chance, where a collar isn't simply sewn, but rolled , where genuine mother-of-pearl buttons are attached by hand using the Zampa di Gallina stitch, where every cut is done by hand, and every seam, every stitch is carefully considered. An atelier where true handcraft is a matter of course.

This is where my shirt collection is created. In close collaboration with experienced craftsmen whose knowledge isn't found in books. From cutting the fabric to the final buttonhole stitch – every detail matters . Nothing is superfluous. Nothing happens without a reason.

Here I am still in direct contact with the seamstresses. A small detail that I value very highly and that brings me joy every time I tell my customers about it.
